If you’ve started a low carb diet recently then it’s no surprise that you’re now on a quest to discover new, easy low carb recipes. A popular myth states that cooking low carb meals is actually harder than cooking other meals, but this couldn’t be further from the truth!

Adapting Traditional Recipes

When you first start your low carb diet  you’re not going to want to give up your favorite
foods and recipes right away. The good news is that you don’t always have to. Most recipes can be adapted to suit your new diet, by substituting certain ingredients and cooking them slightly differently.

Some examples include switching sugar for alternatives, such as using sugar substutites, or exchanging pasta for low carb noodles (such as shirataki noodles) or vegetables. If you’re baking, then you can switch part of the flour for almond flour or soy flour. Just remember, it may take a little experimenting, and things may taste a little different, but it’s well worth it to be able to enjoy your favorite foods.

Another option, of course, is to buy recipe books from stores. More and more recipe books are now designed with low carb dieting in mind.
